For this DIY you'll need:
- An old board with openings for pictures
- some black spray paint
- enough photos to fill your spaces
- cardboard backing
So I started out with an old pink photo board from Goodwill. I found this for $5.00, but it was kind of a lucky find. You might have to look around for a few months at your local thrift stores, and maybe wait around for one to show up. Anyway, I found this bright pink frame, and decided to paint it and fill it with pictures, since I don't have many pictures around.
I sprayed it black, and then let it dry for about a day.
Then I printed my pictures at Walgreens (this is a good place to print them, because I printed about 25 for only $7.00), and started to put them into the frame.
As you can see in the picture, I have a transparent, plastic-y covering that came with the photo board. So I put this down first, like you would with glass in a picture frame.
Then I layed out the pictures and taped then down, so that they won't shift when the board is upright.
{P.S. This is the back of the board, which is the original pink: I didn't feel the need to spray the back, since it will be against the wall.}
Once I put all the pictures down, I layed the black, cardboard covering down. I recommend making the cardboard cover whatever color your frame is, so that if your pictures are a little small, it won't be quite so obvious.
And voila! It's finished!
Thanks for reading this, and I hope it inspires you to make a photo board, or something similar!
